Bikini waxing is fairly simple. You spread and the attendant yanks it. Just kidding.
But there really isn’t much to it. It’s just the same as any regular body waxing procedure with a little extra care because the area’s just a tad more sensitive than the average body part.
So what’s all this Brazilian, Playboy, American, Vanilla sort of waxes you read all the time? Nothing really. They’re just names people assign to specific types of bikini wax. Since there’s no official bikini master regulating body to watch out for the definitions, each salon pretty much makes up their own.
Some will say a totally bald pubic area will mean a Brazilian Bikini Wax. Others will say that’s an American Wax and that a Brazilian one needs a landing strip on top. Put two salon attendants from different salons and enjoy the catfight.
To avoid any confusion, tell the attendants exactly what you want. If you want to wax just the areas outside the pantyline, don’t tell the salon you want a Vanilla wax or a Regular Wax. Tell them you want to “Wax outside the pantyline.” Be clear with your instructions of how far you want the bikini area cleared so you don’t get anything you didn’t intend to!
